Woah, that’s awesome! I think it doesn’t hurt to ask for $10k more and see if they’ll meet in the middle, potentially getting her $25k more than expected!
I agree with Laura Bauman that you should probably ask for a bit more. I will say one thing, however, sometimes if it looks too good to be true, it is. Be careful when accepting and giving information unless you have verified fully the company in question. Just want to be on the safe side.
An alternative to asking for more out of the gate would be to negotiate a review for a raise after 90 days. Granted, that could open her up to performing well and still being denied the raise, but it’s another option if she isn’t comfortable with asking for more money at the start.
